When one is into the use of trade show displays one is supposed to know the various types of displays that are available for one to use. One also needs to have the knowledge of the advantages and
disadvantages of each type of display. The best types of displays are the simple light designs that allow one to easily set up their exhibit station.
The first common type of display that is commonly used is the table top display. The trade show displays are usually a small metal frame that is portable, has graphic panels attached to the metal framework by the use of magnetic pieces, fasteners or Velcro, as well as collapsible into a simple carrying case. The set up is quite simple and requires no labor on setup. The table top display usually requires a table to rest on, as the name implies, and the table is normally supplied by the organizer of the trade fair. The table top design of the display is quite effective in terms of service delivery and initial set up cost and time, the use of these types of trade show displays will be quite effective with small industries that provide small sized products such as foods and electronics, but the design can also be use with other designs.
The second option that one can try out is the table covers which are also known as throw covers. This sort of display allows one to use the table as a branding opportunity. The table covers are quite useful since in most rented or host provided table the covers are usually plain. The use of the table cover will be quite effective if one has more tables to display their products on.
The other type of trade show displays that one should use is the pipe and drape, this is a structure that is usually provided by the host of the event, that has vertical posts supported by base plates and cross beams that connect the uprights to create a rectangular or square frame on which a fabric (drape) is sewn or tied on to make a complete set. The drape is usually the display, the part that contains all the information. The size of the pipe and drape display usually depends on the size of the drape, the set up is relatively harder than the table covers or table top displays. The displays are usually provided by the fair organizer, with increased technological advances the drape is usually white, and projected images are used on the drape.
One also has the option of using pop up displays, displays that are also called pull up displays or portable displays. This is a display that is made from a flexible graphic panel that has storage inform of a spring loaded roller, from which the graphic winds are pulled out of. The display though needs to have a post or stand for support, and the general set up is quite simple. the pull up displays are quite light in weight due to the materials used, and they are easier to carry since they can be retracted into small rolls that can be placed in bags and carried to the place of setup, the trade show displays are effective both indoors as well as outdoors. One can use the displays either as one panel or as a series of the pull ups.
There are other forms of display panels that are used but their use is limited by their set up and their use. The choice of the type of trade show displays to use will generally be dependent on the funds that one has as well as the size of the area that one has for display.
